Jared raises our meat chickens from day old chicks in a warm brooder barn and takes them out to pasture when they have grown their first feathers. The meat chickens are raised in 14 x 24 floorless hoop houses built on skids. The birds are moved each day by pulling the hoop houses with his ATV to fresh pasture. The chickens are so excited about the move and run to snatch the first bugs and munch on the fresh greens! They are supplemented with a 100% Non GMO feed and never use antibiotics.
The spacious, well ventilated hoop houses provide natural sunlight, shade on those warm summer days, and protects the chickens from adverse weather and night time predators. Annie, our loyal guard dog is on night patrol ensuring the birds are safe through the night from predators.
The fresh air, fresh forages, and clean environments combine for a great tasting bird.
